A water-soluble vitamin; we use the active form pyridoxal-5-phosphate.
Vitamin B6 is a group of compounds; pyridoxal-5-phosphate (P-5-P) is the active coenzyme form.

P-5-P is the form the body uses directly, instead of the cheaper pyridoxine hydrochloride.
